Angelica Rodriguez

I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. I attended Texas State University and earned my BS in Journalism with a minor in popular culture in 2023!

Some examples of publications that I enjoy are San Antonio Current, Austin American-Statesman, and NPR. I am also interested in writing news for social media. These days, people are more likely to consume news through their timelines and feeds. I think it's important to keep that audience informed with credible sources to minimize misinformation on social media.

Some topics I gravitate towards when writing are pop culture and social activism. I am passionate about LGBTQ+ rights, mental health in the Hispanic community, gun control, women's bodily autonomy and protecting the environment.
